What is FoodSkills.ai?
FoodSkills.ai is a free library of ready-to-use AI skills built specifically for food & beverage CPG teams. Each skill is a role-specific prompt — for jobs like writing an innovation brief, building a retailer sell-in story, structuring a category review, or sharpening on-pack claims — packaged three ways: a copy-paste prompt for ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, an installable Claude Skill, and Custom-GPT instructions. There are currently 200 skills, and every one is free to download and use.
Why we built it
Food & beverage teams are adopting AI fast, but generic prompts don't understand the category — they don't know what a line review needs, how a concept gets screened, or what a buyer wants to hear. We built FoodSkills.ai to give CPG professionals prompts that are shaped around how the work actually gets done, so the first draft is genuinely useful instead of generic.
Powered by Tastewise
FoodSkills.ai is powered by Tastewise, the AI platform built for food & beverage. Tastewise is the AI platform built for food & beverage, trained on trillions of real-time F&B signals across menus, recipes, social, delivery and eRetail. The free skills here are a starting point; pairing them with Tastewise's live data is what turns a good first draft into a defensible, data-backed one.
What's inside
Skills are organized by role — innovation, category, sales, brand, insights, social and shopper — so you can find the ones relevant to your team. Browse the full library any time; you only share your email when you want to download a skill.
How the skills are built
Every skill follows the same five-stage build: define the job, author a model-agnostic prompt with a fixed input and output contract, add guardrails against invented statistics, test it against realistic CPG briefs, then review and publish it with a visible update date. The full write-up is on our data methodology page.
